TIAA - An Improved PlanFocus 2.0
As part of TIAA’s Digital & Client Experience team, I contributed to the redesign of PlanFocus, a B2B platform where plan sponsors, administrators and consultants can manage and optimize plans, engage employees and drive outcomes. The project addressed key challenges, including inconsistent branding, complex navigation, and a lack of visual appeal.

Project Overview
The PlanFocus 2.0 project was part of TIAA’s broader initiative to align its platforms with the new Ethos design system and rebrand. A key focus was to address user pain-points, identified through client research conducted prior to the redesign. The primary users of PlanFocus - Plan Sponsors, Consultants, Plan Admins and Auditors - highlighted issues such as poor navigation, unclear terminology, cluttered or inconsistent user interface and longer load times. To address these concerns, we streamlined navigation, refined the search feature for easier access, reorganized and renamed features for better clarity, and introduced a functional, user-friendly dashboard while improving performance issues. This redesign enhanced accessibility, optimized workflows, and delivered a cohesive, modern user experience.
